Since 1830: A stay on Møn with history
Hvidegaard Møn has been welcoming guests since 2022, but the property itself has a much longer history.
Originally built in 1830 in the classic “firlænget gård”, a typical style still seen dotted all over the danish countryside landscape today (typically 3-4 buildings - a house with 2-3 barns - forming a gated courtyard) Hvidegaard was once the largest of three farm properties in the village of Svensmarke. Over the years, the house and surrounding outbuildings have been modernised while still preserving the original character and charm — including parts of the historic structure from 1830 that remains today.
The property ceased operating as a working farm in the late 70’s. In 2008, an extensive renovation transformed the former farm buildings into the bed & breakfast and restaurant spaces of today, combining traditional architecture with modern comfort.
